I have just received the Liebster Award. Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to Natalie at Threads & Bobbins for giving me this award. And secondly, I want to thank… everybody I ever met in my entire life. The idea of the Liebster award is to spread the love from one budding blogger to another in recognition of their efforts. As one fellow blogger put it: “There is no real award. There are no judges, no special rules. No website with an official team to congratulate you and hold your hand. It’s mostly what you want it to be. If you receive the award, you can 1) accept it and 2) pass it along. It’s that easy”. Well hell, yes! I’ll accept an award. In order to participate I have to answer Natalie’s questions, so without further ado… What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time? Having two small children means I don’t get much spare time but I’m usually either sewing, or planning what I’ll be sewing next. Would you blog for a living if you could? Absolutely, unless you’re called Giles and Kate, in which case the answer would be absolutely NOT (who’s afraid of the big bad boss?). What has been your favourite holiday? Marrakech. It’s exotic, colourful, slightly scary and lots of fun. I love Moroccan arts and crafts too, especially the ceramics. This is one of the many bowls I’ve brought back from my trips to Morocco. They make me very happy. Is there anywhere you would love to travel to but haven’t yet been? Patagonia, Argentina. I love steak, wine and speak Spanish. If you could be a vegetable, what would you be and why? I’d be an onion. Not only would I be the most popular vegetable in the UK but I’d also have the power to make grown men cry. What is your favourite social media platform? Facebook. I hate to admit it but I’m what you’d call a Facebook voyeur, I love secretly watching from the sidelines. What is the best free day out that you have had? Hiking around Exmoor, with a picnic, is one of my favourite things to do on the weekend. What is your favourite dish to eat? Sunday roast dinner, I dribbled on the keyboard just thinking about it. Do you like going in the sea and why? I’m secretly afraid of swimming alone in the sea. I am now a grown up, and my irrational fear of water has, if anything, only worsened. I’m ridiculous. How often do you read other blogs? Not as often as I would like to. Thanks again for nominating me Natalie and congratulations on receiving your award! I have every intention of passing the award on as soon as I’ve investigated the blogosphere a bit more. In the meantime, if anyone would like to recommend a blog for nomination please do so in the comments below.
